Tomahawk has been teasing and pleasing audiences since 2006, starting with a weekly show, The Alley Cat Revue, in St. Louis. Now this independent spirit can be seen shaking her feathers with all of the major shows in the Twin Cities: Lili’s Burlesque Revue, Foxy Tann and the Wham Bam Thank You Ma'ams, Le Cirque Rouge Burlesque and Cabaret, and The Midnight Muse Revue!

Tomahawk was recently a featured performer at both the London Burlesque Festival, as well as the New Orleans Burlesque Festival. She also had the opportunity of performing at the oldest bar in America while in New Orleans. (Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop), and currently performs weekly at the oldest bar in Minneapolis, Palmer's Bar. Tomahawk has guest starred in Amsterdam, Miami, New Orleans, and throughout the Midwest. She teaches burlesque classes and workshops, and is dedicated to bringing Native American history and awareness to the burlesque scene, specifically in the Midwest.

*************

I love to travel, and am looking to expand the Midwest Burlesque Circuit. Keep an eye out... I may be coming to tease at a theater near you!
Description of Act:
I perform Native American themed and inspired burlesque. I grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the same land where the Cherokee people once reached the end of their long and devastating journey. Growing up in Oklahoma, I have been exposed to Native American history and culture since I was very young. I realize how I took it for granted, and only now am able to fully internalize and express that history. Part of my personal journey is to research my roots and ancestral history. Burlesque performance has been the perfect medium for this.

I have used my performances to remind others of our rich American Indian history while also making a satirical social commentary on stereotypes, specifically from the 1950's.

I have a broad range of acts. The Native American acts are my signatures, but I also do comedic, 80's inspired, themed, and classic burlesque.

I also perform weekly with Cadillac Kolstad and Cornbread Harris on the West Bank of Minneapolis! These performances are a bit different than a classic burlesque show. I can be seen dancing atop the piano while Cadillac and Cornbread duke it out on the keys! This is true, authentic burlesque at it's best!
